About Me - Hampshire Therapy Room

My many years of working in pastoral care have shown me that every person is unique and that the symptoms that people present with are only part of their story, as every experience is different and every person views the world through their own individual lens. This is why my method of client-centred hypnotherapy focuses on the individual first as, while people may experience the same symptoms, how they got there will be unique to them.

How I work

A trusting therapeutic relationship is worth far more than generalised hypnotic techniques so I always work with the individual first. I am, however, integrative and solution focused in my approach and may incorporate elements of CBT where appropriate.

By exploring what has brought you to therapy and how this relates to your own, unique experience of the world, it is possible to find a new way forward. Sometimes, when things are particularly challenging, this can be hard to see but hypnotherapy allows for a creative space in which new possibilities are able to present themselves. It can also be an incredibly effective source of peace and relaxation.

With reduced anxiety, there is less fear. Without fear, there are endless possibilities and opportunities.

What I work with

Please contact me if you’d like to discuss whether I am the right fit for you. Hypnotherapy is not a protected profession so it is important to consider qualification level and membership when seeking a hypnotherapist. By working with me, you will have the benefit of psychotherapeutic training alongside hypnotherapy training. See below for my own specialisms and view my Therapy page or my Psychology Today, Hypnotherapy Directory or Welldoing.org profile for a more extensive list of what I work with:

      • Family/identity issues
      • Low self-esteem/lack of self-confidence
      • Low mood
      • Anxiety and Stress
      • Neurodiversity
      • Habits and Phobias

Due to my career in sixth form pastoral care, I have 10 years of experience in working with young people but please note that I am only able to work with clients aged 18 and above.
