Getting in touch

Confidentiality begins as soon as you contact me and there are no obligations, so feel free to get in touch for more information as it is really important that you are able to ask whatever you need to feel comfortable and assured.

We can then arrange a 15 minute phone or Zoom call to enable me to find out a little more information about what you’re struggling with and to give you a chance to ask any questions you may have.

The first session

In the first session, we will work together to consider the most appropriate methods and goals for your therapy. You can ask questions about the process and I may ask some questions to help me to understand you better. We will then consider a treatment plan together which we will review regularly.

Your therapy

I am a hypno-psychotherapeutic counsellor so I will never treat clients as an ‘issue to solve,’ as some hypnotherapists will, but will consider every client as an individual with unique needs. I will, therefore, draw on a range of approaches, including CBT, and will always be driven by a client-centred approach. Every therapy is unique as every client is unique but you will always be included in our work together which will be a collaborative process.

The length of therapy

This will differ for every client. There is generally not a recommended number of sessions, unless a very specific short-term goal is suggested, but we can discuss this and will review your therapy, planning to end the therapy when appropriate.
